Transportation Careers Teacher Resources
The project's purpose is to develop transportation industry curriculum to expose students grades 6-12 to skills, and concepts necessary to be successful in the transportation industry. The materials - including the transportation cluster foundation, related pathway standards, and appropriate academic standards, are designed to address a growing need of educating students who may seek a job in the transportation industry. These resources may be utilized by educators to expand, enhance and reinforce academic content in an attempt to increase student knowledge and skills of transportation with a goal of higher academic achievement.
Universities, Departments of Career and Technical Education (CTE), Departments of Transportation and businesses from across the nation are collaborating on this project to build on accomplishments of the National Career Cluster Intiative.
Through this effort TransportationCareers.org and its partners have developed several teaching resources for educators including:
- Transportation, Distribution, and Logistics Course List
- Fully Tested Problem Based Scenarios
- Ideas for New Transportation Units
- Career Development Module Templates
- Problem Based learning Rubrics, Planning and Assessment Tools
If your state or school is interested in participating in the national field testing of these materials, please contact Dr. Frances Beauman, Project Director, at (217) 725-1140 or email@example.com.
