About 40 Irving ISD high school students are participating in the week-long Aviation Career Education Academy this week. Aviation is one of the Signature Studies career pathways offered through Irving ISD’s Career and Technical Education program.

About 40 Irving ISD high school students are participating in the week-long Aviation Career Education Academy this week. Aviation is one of the Signature Studies career pathways offered through Irving ISD’s Career and Technical Education program.

The academy participants will experience a wide range of “hands-on” activities, including a behind-the-scenes look at DFW International Airport including flight simulation and field trips to American Eurocopter and the Vintage Flying Museum. Their week ends when they take to the skies during flight orientation rides.
