About the Program
The aviation program started last year with about 45 total students enrolled between all three high school campuses. Today, there are there are approximately 240 students currently enrolled in the MISD Aviation program. The goal is for students to earn their pilot’s license or an FAA certificate in avionics upon graduation. The aviation program is currently composed of two courses with plans for additional courses: Introduction to Aviation Industry and Airplane Technology I - Private Pilot Ground Training.
