About the Program
The Aviation Maintenance Technician Helicopter Program (AMTH) teaches the basics of flight and dives into the latest technological advances for the world of aviation. Students learn the intricacies of both fixed wing and rotary aircraft as each system is dissected for deeper understanding, gaining the skills to properly and efficiently troubleshoot and repair aircraft systems. Areas of instruction include Aviation General Sciences, Aircraft Systems, Powerplant Systems, Helicopter Propulsion Systems. Helicopter Main Rotor Systems, and more. This program prepares you to pass the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) test to become a certified Airframe and Powerplant Technician for employment in aviation maintenance.
