Camp SOAR, hosted by the Henry B. Tippie National Aviation Education Center (NAEC) in Dallas, Texas, is an engaging and hands-on summer camp designed for students entering 3rd through 7th grades, as well as families seeking a shared educational experience. The camp offers a variety of sessions tailored to different age groups and interests.Younger campers in 3rd and 4th grades can participate in three-day camps from June 16 to 18 and June 30 to July 2, with a fee of $280. Additionally, a two-day Family Camp is available on June 20 and 21, costing $225 for one adult and one child, plus $50 for each additional participant.
The camp's curriculum focuses on four key areas: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Occupations in aerospace, Aviation history, and Reflection on character and leadership. These themes are interwoven to connect historical insights with contemporary challenges, embodying the NAEC's mission to "Honor the Past, Empower the Future." Scholarship applications for the 2025 sessions will open in the spring of 2025.
