About the Program
The Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Maintenance at North Central Texas College provides a comprehensive, FAA-approved curriculum designed to prepare students for careers as certified aviation maintenance technicians. Offered in partnership with the U.S. Aviation Academy in Denton, the program emphasizes both airframe and powerplant systems, equipping students with hands-on experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, fuel, reciprocating, and turbine engines.

This degree can be completed through a mix of face-to-face, hybrid, and online classes. The program is designed to take one year or two semesters and consists of the following courses. All of the technical courses required are hosted at the U.S. Aviation Academy facility located in Denton, Texas. Academic courses will be offered primarily at the NCTC Denton Campus.
